Dissipate the heat all-around, learn the water cooling radiator easily

1.the advantage of  water cooling

Water cooling as the high-level cooling system is more and more popular.however,what makes the water cooling so much better than air cooling?

The real advantage of the water cooling is that its ability of dealing with the problems of CPU is much higer than any air cooling radiator,moreover,the high temperature has no influence on it.If used on the CPU with low power,the water cooling radiator may not much better than air cooling radiator,however when you use the high grade or extreme overcolck CPU which generate a large number of heat,even a little DIY water cooling system can keep the temperature of the CPU at a low level.

For the overclockers ,Water cooling is the best scheme for dissipating the heat of chip with the big power.when used for not CPU players,water cooling will not have the great improvement in appearance of heat dissipation than high grade air cooling systems,but low the noise when get the low temperature. 

2.choose the suit parts

Similar with optimizing the appearance of  PC and regulating a car,the secret of success for getting the excellent appearance is decreasing the bottleneck systematically.It has no realationship with how well the single spare is,but if it is restrained by other spares with lower specification.this is the reason why you need to offer the same patience to every spare and part.

Water Pump:

Water pump makes the water flow and circulate in the system,and change warm water to cool water constantly.the volume of the water in the waterways and radiator is very important ,depend on which move and take away the heat,like the high speed fan can take away the heat from the heatsink.

It’s very easy to find the water pumps with diffirent power and price used for the water cooling.when users choose,the first choice is the embedded pump,which adopts the integrative design of water tank,the input and output equips the tube,and it’s no need to soak the whole into the reservior.the reservior times is far away from us,and there is the risk of spilling over.

The appearance of the water pmup includes the two specifications of flow speed and raise.The flow speed means the quantity of the water that can extract when there is nothing restricting the flow.Raise refers to the height on the vertical when the water pumps spraying upward.Raise is the most important figure,which reflects the capability of the pump conquering the resistance of the waterways and radiator.now,the end of the most pumps has the plug for the special purpose,which can connect with the power directly,or other little 3PIN connector can stick on the mainboard.

Waterway

All the waterway follows the very simple design principle,a copper or aluminium flat with some heatsink.When water enters,it will flow in a certain modle,which is designed as the maximum water with heat flowing here.The picture shows the internal of the Dongyuan C11 CPU water block,we can say it’s a simple but high efficiency design.It adds the metal screen,divide the liquid into N parts to cool adequately,and enlarge the heat dissipation area by absorbing the heat in the metal screen ,the design of the parallel waterway also reduce the water resistance at the most extent.

As the spare that get in touch with the the power directly,the quanlity and the installation of the water block is the first factor.Dongyuan C11 is a good example of the combination of good work

Radiator:

The performance of the radiator plays a most important role in the water cooling,we can even measure the water cooling according to the performance of the radiator.The improvement of the hardware performance brings the more heat,not only the CPU,but also the heat of the northbridge harddiskpower supply is more and more heat,the heat of GPU is more than the CPU.Dissipating heat for several heat source,the huge heat,the single 12CM radiator will not satisfy,now the 24CM36CM radiator is the main stram on the market,users can choose the different size radiator according to their own demand.

Tube;

Generally speaking,the material of the tube are polyvinyl chloridepolythenesiliconeresinpolythene with the bright colour is very solid and anti-twist but expensive. polyvinyl chloride is the cheapest tube used for water cooling ,but very hard,we don’t recommend it for the water cooling  ,as it may make the installation of the waterway difficult. Silicone tube is made of the soft rubber ,flexible,and can be rolled tightly without spring open. Siliconeresin tube can operate easily,we recommend it to use for water cooling.

Clip:

You must pinch every connector,don’t use the plastic soft clip,this is not enough.Use the meatl screw clip outer to get rid of the risk of leaking ,and you can buy them in any DIY shop.

Water:

You may think water is the most simple part of the water cooling,but remember the follows:

Many users choose water or distilled water ,but the whole water cooling system include the radiator,pump,water block,and tube ,which use copper aluminium ,and joint material PVC and so on,so many materials mix together,if use the ordinary distilled water or deionized water ,it will be the alkalescent water some time later ,and after a long time ,the metal will rust,and influence the function of the heat dissipation.so choose the special coolant is the best choice.

Correct design system:

The flow order:

Water should begin from the water pump output,and get into the radiator,then the water block ,flow back to the pump,this is because the pump heat the water but water block need the coolest water to cool the heat source.

The circulation of the water:

Water pump is the fixture used for generating pressure,which stress the water in it,and take turns the water in the hosepipe and the radiator and so on,till the inlet of the pump,then the water begins to circulate.because the system is sealed up,the pressure on the water is from the pump,the disabled gravity will act again when the water flow back downward,which means you can place the parts freely without side-effection.

The installatin of the radiator:

The radiator need the air as cool as possible,the warm air should dissipate directly in the box.for this work the best choice is installing the radiator at the side face,and use the pipe fan at each side.The air can get in and out in the cracks.This part used for cool the radiator air is seperated from the other parts,the appearance of the radiator will not be influenced by the temperature of the box.

If the box is half tower's column,the best position is the front of the it ,when if the all tower’s column,then the space of the power can be used.you can install a radiator with double fans,it will do very well.(later we will take the all tower’s column for example)

The first spare is water blocks,which can dissipate for the CPU northbridge and the “stove”GPU at the same time.

The second is the radiator,this is the syscooling 24L-T radiator,which installed on the CM690 of the cool master,and fix it with the screws,syscooling 24L-T can be easily installed on the space of the box.

Next is the water pump with a gasket reducing shaken and noise,the special double side tape can fix it in the box.the connector of the pump we choose Dongyuan G1/4 elbow,it can decrease the unnecessary tube ,moreover ,it can regulate the angle to change the direction of the flow water.

Next is the tube,don’t cut the tube in a hurry,first calculate how long the tube between the two positions,don’t want to measure,you just need to connect them ,and then make a mark to cut it.

Before connect,round the clip on the hosepipe.if it’s too tight when connect the hosepipe ,rub the end or soak it in the hot water to make it soft enough to connect bigger connector.then fix it with the clip to avoid leaking.

Begin to add the liquid,as dissipate for many parts,an ordinary coolant will not satisfy ,howeer the  syscooling coolant will be enough.if the filling hole is big enough,we can pour it slowly to make the air spill.if not ,or you are not skilled,we will suggest that use a kettle or filler.

When the system is full,starting the pump for half a second,and then close so as to eliminate the big air bubble.fill again,and repeat till it’t really full,with  no big air bubble in it.Till then ,there will be still a lot of small air bubble ,when at this stage,continue run the pump,keep the filled pipe full and open,the air bubble will slop over automatically.You can judge it through the running situation of the pump,if there’s noise,then still air in the system.

This is all the situation,if you are sure all the connection is reliable,and the spilling liquid were cleared,then you can equip the other spares of the PC and start it.Now ,the PC system with the huge radiator and the good position of the parts will perform very well,even the 4870×2 will be tamed.if you want to dissipate the heat as well as quiet,water cooling is the best choice undoubtedly .Have a try if you are interested.
